College Section Redesigns

Redesigning Anderson University’s website one section at a time

I was brought over to the Office of Marketing and Communication’s Digital Team beginning in January of 2024 from the Creative Team where I began working at Anderson University. From January 2024 to January 2025 I redesigned or built out 45 sections of the website. That entails combing through all information present and not present, wireframing, discovery meetings, competitor research, designing mockups, coordinating with other offices, collaborating with my developers and much more. That doesn’t even include the daily web requests my team receives through our web request forms (totaling more than 1,100 requests for 2024).

Below are 3 of the largest section redesigns I have completed to date.

Tools Used:

Figma, Photoshop, Elementor, WordPress

The South Carolina School of the Arts

The first section that was redone was The South Carolina School of the Arts where I wanted to showcase the passion and drive that comes from the work these students create. Being an alumni of SCSA, I was excited to create a web presence that shone a bright light on this amazing school before a prospective student could step on campus.

Working alonside the dean and department chairs I was able to develop layouts that served each of their unique functions.

College of Arts and sciences

The College of Arts and Sciences was the largest section redesign I have completed. With 9 departments to cover there was a lot of prep work that needed to be done on my end. I coordinated with the dean and all 9 department chairs to provide me with new content as well as get rid of what was outdated. This was a lengthy process but with the prep work done, it made building the mockup a smoother process.

I built out a wireframe to quickly layout what each department would need, built the mockups from that and received feedback within Figma to be able to pass it to development.

Office of Admission

I redesigned the Office of Admission section to elevate the Graduate Admission team’s operations to an equal visual level as the Undergraduate Admission team’s operatoins. Anderson University has always succeeded in undergraduate education, but recently the graduate enrollment numbers drastically increased.

After doing some competitor research and discovery meetings with the respective teams I tasked them with updated content collection while I began the wireframing process. In tandem, the Creative Team was building out a new brand persona for the Admission side of Anderson University so I was able to provide insights on how that would translate to digital spaces.

Photography seen throughout the mockup of this project was taken by Westin Edwards, Anderson’s University Photographer and Editor, Christian Luna, Anderson University’s Creative Content Manager, or Jason Jones.
