Museum Rebranding

The International Cryptozoology Museum (ICM) in Portland, Maine seeks to showcase their findings on creatures deemed hidden and unknown. A museum that is determined to explore the unexplored. I created a conceptual brand identity to bring to light the ICM's character showcased by my research and brand audit of its current visual identity. The brand guidelines are laid out in the Survival Guide, a pocket-sized publication for ease of carry for employees. A companion publication documenting possible touchpoints provides further guidance with the rebrand.

Tools Used:

Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, InDesign & Figma

In terms of creating a brand guide, I went about it in an alternative way. Cryptozoology is a science heavily based in nature and the scientists are often observing what they are seeing which means they need to make notes on the go. So in terms of a brand guide, I have broken them up into a survival guide (a pocket-sized publication outlining how to utilize the brand) and a touchpoint guide (a table top publication that allows the details to be seen in different touchpoints).
